Boehner accused of tilting toward 'amnesty' with new hire (Becky Tallent, his new Amnesty Czar)

Foes of illegal immigration accused House Speaker John Boehner of signaling his willingness to consider an "amnesty" bill after his office hired a longtime policy aide who has advocated legalizing undocumented immigrants.

The speaker's office announced Tuesday that it had hired Rebecca Tallent as a point person for immigration issues. Tallent previously was director of immigration policy for the Bipartisan Policy Center -- but before that, worked for Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and played a role in the drafting of the 2006 and 2007 immigration reform bills, which provided a pathway to legal status for some illegal immigrants.

tilting

I think "bending over" would be more appropiate.

Stop this immigration sell-out.

American jobs have been exported to every country in the world, and yet we want to import MORE AMERICANS?

Stop it. Bring back American jobs, and hire Americans.

NO MORE IMMIGRATION.

Hire Americans.

Here's the Hobson's Choice for the GOP:

Pass amnesty and welcome 12M new dhimmis, w/ hands out looking for free stuff

Stop amnesty and the existing "hispanic" population votes straight dhimmicrat-- this'll hurt in the southwest.

But the point is that either way the vast majority of hispanics are going to vote dhimmi so F'em.

Does anybody seriously think that if the GOP votes for amnesty that they're going to get a majority of that vote??

40%?

30%?

In my view if the immigrants want the support of Americans (not politicians) then those immigrant activists need to cozy up to us, not the other way around.

We live in an era when our political leaders can't wait to undermine the very people they've been elected to represent.

Boehner’s new amnesty director’s talking points. She conveniently leaves out the part about the permanent democrat majority.

immigration reform would:

• Spur economic growth. Immigration reform would cause the U.S. economy to
grow an additional 4.8 percent over a 20-year period, including 2.8 percent in the
first decade (as measured by gross domestic product, or GDP). Annual average
growth would be 0.24 percent higher, peaking at 0.35 percent in FY2019–FY2023.

• Reduce federal deficits. Cumulative deficits would fall by nearly $1.2 trillion over a
20-year period. About $180 billion of this reduction would occur in the first decade,
and $990 billion in the second decade.

• Jump-start the housing recovery. Immigration reform would dramatically
increase demand for housing units. This would increase residential construction
spending by an average of $68 billion per year over the 20-year period.

• Expand the labor force. By 2033, the labor force would be 8.3 million people
larger, an increase of 4.4 percent compared with the baseline.

• Offset aging of the workforce. After accounting for fertility, mortality, and
emigration, immigration reform would add 13.7 million people to the population by
FY2033. Just 6 percent of these people would be age 65 or older. By comparison, the
Census Bureau projects that 20 percent of U.S. residents will be 65 or older in 2030.

• Increase long-term wages. Wages would initially fall due to the large influx of
workers, but rise in the long-term. Real wages in FY2023 would be about 0.2 percent
below the baseline, but would be 0.5 percent higher than the baseline in FY2033.

It's not "we" doing this and they want to import more NON-Americans.

SOURCES: BOEHNER TELLS TEXAS BUSINESS INTERESTS

And there you have it. The big corporate interests which back RINOs want illegals brought in as a source of cheap labor. The GOP wants their cash.

The Dems get their cash PLUS the votes of illegals. This entire problem was MAGNIFIED under the reign of Jorge El Segundo and augmented under Obama.

At least they are not Muslims.

There's one way I can be happy with amnesty:

Amnesty begins after 5 consecutive years of less than 50,000 new illegal immigrants over any 12 month period. If new illegals exceed 25,000 in any 12 month period after that, amnesty will be revoked and all illegals expected to return to their home country.

If we can get Ds and illegals to help stop the flow of new illegals, I'm all for it. If this is just an encouragement for more illegals it must be stopped. I'm sure they'll say amnesty only applies to "current" illegals and tell us nobody else will come because it doesn't apply to them. But they will come for the next amnesty in 10 years (or 20 or whenever)
I'm even willing to throw in citizenship for some after 10 years of NO new illegals. Some current illegals may start volunteering for border control if it means their kids can get citizenship (not just amnesty). And when the Rs offer to build a wall the Ds either ask "how high?" or get accused of not wanting to give citizenship to children of illegals.
