Medical “insurance” is actually perceived as insurance, even though it’s mostly used as a third-party coupon-discount.

How many people do you know that say “I want insurance in case of a catastrophe” compared to “I want insurance to bring my medical expenses down.”?

Because of this collective system of paying for given expenses, not risk of expense, it’s actually a microcosm of communism (even before O’care) which is why costs go out of control. Economically, communism has never worked.

To fix medical “insurance”, you have to get rid of what makes it communist, not pile on, which CommieCare does.

The median household income in the US was $51,017 in 2012. I don't think Obama or anyone who works for him (and who he would actually speak to) understands what the income distribution graph in the US looks like. His contacts have probably mostly been Columbia U and Harvard Law graduates for the last 20-30 years -- who have an income of much more than $51,017, even if they're Bolsheviks like he is.

On an average income of $51,017, $10k-$20k in mandated health insurance bills with huge deductibles and co-pays is well beyond "a big ****ing deal", it's an arithmetic impossibility. There is just no way to hide this fiasco once the bills for it start rolling in.
