I’m pretty certain that Snowden has a cache of data that has not been given by him to anyone.

Why would he place all he has in the hands of a few news outlets and thus leave himself defenseless?

His only protection is his threat to release that other data if anything happens to him.... it is his dead-mans-switch backup.

He can also threaten to start fabricating data out of thin air and his own fertile imagination. Just how in hell would the NSA be able to refute anything he would release so long as it were technically feasible and consistent with what everyone now knows the gov will stoop to... this IMO is his most powerful asset. He seems bright enough to have already thought of this. Among the data he is almost certainly holding back may be a lot of self generated and exceedingly scandalous stuff.

I can’t believe things have gone so far beyond constitutional bounds that I am rooting for a guy that stole data from the NSA!?

I long for the old days to return, way back when I was young and believed that my government acted to protect us all from harm and would never engage in blatantly unconstitutional acts.
