People, it is time to talk about guns.
My entire adult life has been dedicated to the deliberate management of violence. There are no two ways around that fact. My job, at the end of the day, is about killing. I orchestrate violence.
I am not proud of that fact. Indeed, I am often torn-up by the realization that not only is this my job, but that I am really good at my job. But my profession is about directed violence on behalf of the nation. What is happening inside our country is random and disgusting, and living here in England I am at a complete loss as to how to explain this at all. In 2011 the number of gun deaths in the United States was 10.3 per 100,000 citizens. In 2010 that statistic in the UK was 0.25. And do not even try to tell me that the British are not as inclined to violence or that their culture is so different from ours that this difference makes sense. I can say nothing when my British officers ask me about these things, because it is the law.
And for that, frankly speaking, I am embarrassed by our Supreme Court.

Hey you commie, gun grabbing, freak. The VAST MAJORITY of gun violence in America is GANG RELATED. Do you hear me NOW? Isolated incidents occur. They always have. They always will. But how bout a strong anti-gang effort? Too racist for you, huh? Yeah, race is the shield for all commie take overs in this country. What about putting mentally ill in institutions where they can be helped and not left to roam the streets homeless? I’m so sick of commies that disguise themselves. Yeah even those in the military. If you walk like a commie and quack like a commie you must be one. The only way you get my gun is when I beat you with it after running out of ammunition.
The evil that now rules in Amerika through devils like Pelosi, Reid, Obama and co., and willing enablers like McCain, Mc Connel, and Graham are more than willing to destroy the Republic and 100s of millions world wide in order to bring about their new world order rule.
I sense a very bloody and violent future for this land. If we do not soon educate our young as to the nature of the democrip’s evil, we will have those same young people reporting the locations of guns held by citizens. It happened in Germany, partially because the parents did not teach their children to discern good and evil. Our children are mostly the products of government designed and fed schooling.

I ignore control freaks who dictate what guns we can own, and what guns we can pass onto our children, as if anyone is asking. This crackpot mistakes regimented life in the military for constitutional life out in the free world, and he mistakes a deer rifle for a self defense weapon, for those times when gang bangers need to be shot multiple times to make them stop. Besides, when the family is sleeping late at night, it is a little crazy to start shooting at intruders with a high powered rifle. Sheetrock walls don’t make good backstops. I prefer to limit my killing to the target(s).

The 10.3 per 100,000 that this $hit$tain Bateman mentions includes suicides as well as gang bangers killing other gang bangers. When I lived in California in the 1970’s and 1980’s, the LAPD called gang banger deaths NHI (No Human Involved).
I hope this scumbag Bateman stays in England. It would serve the British right for sending us Piers Morgan and Martin Bashir.

As a former 35C myself, I recall the patriotic fervor of my year-group and generation. Gun clubs and fun shoots were the rule of the day.
With our next-generation touchy-feelgood PC officer corpse, this kind of diatribe is not unexpected.
At least the fool’s an expat now.
LTC Robert Bateman seems to thrive on being annoying and obnoxious. And, to his credit, I suppose, he is insulting, demeaning and arrogant to just about everyone on the political spectrum.
Looking at the sum of his reasonably accessible writings on the Internet, he comes across much like a newspaper “sob sister”, an editorialist who thrives on annoying people, and counts his successes by the number of irate letters he beckons.
That is, this weeks’ column is on “Nun beating, and why we should do it”, and next week is “How to Pick Fights in Biker Bars.”
Yes, he has an opinion on gun control. Opinions are like a certain piece of the anatomy. Everybody has one.

I recently had the extreme displeasure of coming across and reading your ‘It’s Time to Talk About Guns” article. I could not believe that the words in the article actually came from an officer in the Armed Forces of the United States. Was it easy for you to crap on your oath? The last time I checked, the 2nd Ammendment said nothing about the right to hunt. It says “The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed”. Last I checked your oath and mine said “I will uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same”. So when did you decide that your sworn oath didn’t mean anything? I thank God I never had a commander like you.
If you truely feel that free men should not be armed, I suggest that you be the first man in the stack as you attempt to breech my door when they attempt to come for my weapons. This old Marine will not go down easy. You see sir, I believe in my oath, I believe in our Constitution, I have been highly trained by the best there is and I am highly motivated. If you feel froggy, all you have to do is jump. I dread the day when you and your progressive idiots overplay your hand, but be assured I will honor my oath and I will defend my God given right to the death.
