In Maryland, population densities in one city and a few counties control state politics. IMHO the same thing will happen in Virginia as the northern areas eventually gain legislative control over the rest of the state.

Same thing happened in Michigan until the Dems destroyed Detroit.

Already has, me thinks....
Same for PA, IL, CA, and others...
The city dwelling blood suckers (generally speaking), living one on top of the other tend to vote govt dependency while more suburban and rural folks think about living off grid...

Yes, this is true, but it's similarly true in just about every state in the union.

I think secesssion is a pipe dream, but as the saying goes, something's gotta give. And if it doesn't, at some point somebody's gonna TAKE.
