They probably are all screaming for more hours but management wants to keep them part-time.

Then maybe they should say it. This idiotic screeching has been going on for several months and so far all I hear is gimmie more money. Its a damn starter job and only a moron would believe they should make a living at it.

They probably are all screaming for more hours but management wants to keep them part-time.

Then maybe they should say it.

There are several reasons for not saying it one of them brand new – ObamaCAre’s 30 hour full time mandate. McDonald’s probably doe not want to anoy the Obama administration.

When I worked at McD’s it was the assistant manager’s job to schedule all of the workers to ensure no one EVER worked 40 hours. This was to ensure that everyone was a part time employee. So now that requirement will be to ensure that everyone works less than 30 hours.

They will in reality make sure that everyone works substantially less than 30 hours. Note that he says that he works between 20 and 25 hours per week. This leaves room in the employees schedule for him to be called in to work a 4 hour stint if some one calls off or does not show up for their shift and he still will be under 30 hours. This happens a lot in fast food because many of these young have not been taught the importance of showing up for work everyday and on time.

This is a “unintended” consequence of ObamaCare. Fast Food workers have had their hours cut because of the Democrats stupidity.

This idiotic thinking is encouraged by the Democrats and the Unions for their own ends. Many union contracts have stipulations that the lowest paid union workers will be paid at least a certain amount more than the minimum wage. This has the effect of boosting union wages.

Another reason for Democrats pushing this living wage idea is that Democrats basic idea of “fairness”. The idea that employers are unfair to workers is that bread and butter of the philosophy that feeds the Democrat power base. Fairness and Equality are the fictions that generate the hatred that keeps Democrats in power.
