I too would like Mr. Rojas to be able to afford an apartment and a car of his own, etc.
Mr. Rojas, since you are stuck with only a 25 hour job instead of a regular 40 hour job (we thank Obama and his policies for that!)
you have time on your hands. May I respectfully suggest that you look into what your local community colleges have on offer (and yes, they will waive most of the fees for you, too! .. just ask for a Board of Governor’s Fee Waiver....and then ask for any additional financial aid you may require, too, they have some)
California has the nation’s cheapest community colleges (even before the fee waivers and financial aid programs).
And, you have 21 local community colleges just in LA county, plus Orange County has more, too.
They also offer free career counseling (but look around to see what careers are good for you, too)
Good luck! You have a real opportunity right now in your life, living with parents and with a modest job for some income too, plus free time on your hands. This is a much better opportunity for you than if McD’s were to suddenly give you 75 cents more an hour.
You can really make something of yourself NOW in your life.
