I’m pretty sure I have been told by a friend in the county that Lopey has spoken at several Tea Party Events. I know the guy has announced that he would not stand for armed Feds intimidating his citizens. I’m thinkin’ that while he might be as visible as Sheriff Joe Arpaio, he is about as popular with the feds.

I am a fan! ~ I visit his county two or three times a year and live in Joe Arpia’s.

I thought we had an article on FR about the CMP program for selling Garands has been suspended (Obama admin.

Program is not suspended.

But Obama did stop importation of surplus M1 Garands and M1 Carbines from Korea.

Can't have those 90 year old WWII vets who breached Obama's Barry-Cades at the WWII Memorial toting 70 year old genuine assault rifles !!!

Gee, officer.
That sucks.
It must mean you’re guilty of something. After all, the law don’t make mistakes, do it?

Yep. An Obamacare check will be included in future background checks.

> Siskiyou County is in far Northern California. The board of Supervisors there recently voted to withdraw from the state to form the State of Jefferson. Siskiyou County Sheriff’s department has hosted meetings affirming the constitutional role of the county sheriff.

Perhaps this is why he was flagged?

I bet everyone is flagged with Hussein in charge...

“Perhaps this is why he was flagged?”

He is a retired colonel. The US military are receiving training that retired-military types are and/or belong to ‘terrorist organizations’.

Actually it is supported by the 57 states who are just busy as little beavers, sending in all the necessary data that will make anyone a prohibited person. Present case a prime example. Data to NICS should be fought tooth and nail by anyone who has a lick of sense.

Do not fall for the National Shooting Sports line, that we need mental health lists to make NICS perfect. It will just add to the growing list of Prohibited persons.

I suggest that CA does not check for CMP, the Feds do.

Which would mean the Feds snuffed the app.

M1s aren’t assault rifles. They are Battle Rifles.

This is a no shatter:

A very small MA town in central, northern part has the chief of police unable to get his gun permit for more than a year now. (My in-laws are friends with him and they can’t get theirs renewed either)

2nd amendment denial by planned and carefully orchestrated “incompetence” just like in CT with the new long gun and ammo permits. Took 10 weeks to get mine.

Yet people like Patrick Leahy have access to top secret information just because a bunch of people who could never pass a top secret clearance voted for him.

“CA does their own background checks, and there is nothing instant about it. There is a heinous waiting period just to buy a weapon.”

I guess I don’t know what’ “heinous” about the CADOJ background check. This year, my wife and I have purchased a total of four guns. California has a ten day waiting period for the purchase of a gun and in each instance, the weapon was available to be picked up on the tenth day. The gun shop where we do business told me that if the BG check comes up negative, the shop usually knows it a lot sooner than the tenth day. I mean it’s all bullShit, but the BG check isn’t holding up anything for people who have “clean” records.
