Radio giant Rush Limbaugh is scorching the leader of the Roman Catholic Church for criticizing unfettered capitalism, saying, This is just pure Marxism coming out of the mouth of the pope.
You know the pope, Pope Francis has issued an official papal proclamation, and its sad, Limbaugh said on his national broadcast Wednesday. Its actually unbelievable. Its sad because this pope makes it very clear he doesnt know what hes talking about when it comes to capitalism and socialism and so forth.
Im not Catholic, Limbaugh added, but up until this I admired the man.
In the 84-page document titled Evangelii Gaudium, which was released Tuesday, Pope Francis called upon politicians to provide dignified work, education and health care to all citizens.
The commandment Thou shalt not kill sets a clear limit in order to safeguard the value of human life, wrote the pope. Today we also have to say thou shalt not to an economy of exclusion and inequality. Such an economy kills.
Noting that he had visited the Vatican numerous times, Limbaugh observed wryly: Believe me, it wouldnt exist without tons of money. Somebody has either written this for [the pope] or gotten to him. This is pure Marxism.

The Reverend Wright and now the Wright Reverend? I hope not.
This Pope can’t even get the Commandment right, if that is in fact what he said.
Good for Rush. Sorry to my roman friends. This roman jesuit should be called out for what he is.
I don't think it's Marxism. It's feudalism.
The glory days of the Church were the 13th century. That's the model this pope is invoking -- no capitalism, no individual initiative for profit, everything (theoretically) for the good of the social order as defined by the Church.
No one "got to him", nor did anyone need write this nonsense for him. Pope Francis is an economic socialist. Period. Just because he wasn't an outright liberation theology Marxist doesn't mean he had a pro-free market belief system. Pope Francis has ALWAYS been an leftist on economic matters. His record on these issues is very clear. And Rush is right in condemning this crap. Pressure needs to put on the Vatican to reign this Pope in before he does real damage in this world and sets back free market movements all over the earth.
This radio shouter Rush, if that is his real name, ought to spend a few hours studying Marxism before making a fool of himself to everyone except his mindless ditty heads!
Cathedrals were funded by peasants, labor and $. Years to build. Can’t pay for upkeep today.
Don't know yet that the Pope smokes dope, either.
Time will tell.
Lighten up, Francis...

LOL
The Pope is driving FRomans to the left one comment at a time!
And the itty bitty ditty heads swallow every piece of vomit this Limbo spits out, hook line and sinker.
The Pope is likely a Peronista, and let us not that Peronism has done little for Argentina’s poor.
My Pope is and always will be Pope John Paul II.
That is all.
With all due respect, I’ve thought this Pope is a total bone head. Although not a Catholic, I’ve always looked up to the Pope as a moral leader in the world. I’ve lost immeasurable respect for the Pope/Vatican, along with the majority of protestant churches in America. I cut all ties with my last church when they tried to teach my 12 year old son that God was just a likely to be a female as a male. He’s 23 now and the churches are even more distant from the Bible.

“Good for Rush. Sorry to my roman friends. This roman jesuit should be called out for what he is.”
Amen, brother.
It’s amazing to me that as soon as the Pope talks money, Rush Limbaugh sits up and takes notice. The Pope can have whatever opinion he wants on the economy. He isn’t an economist and doesn’t set economic policies or enact economic laws. He is wrong on this, but what can he do about it? Obama surely isn’t going to listen to the Pope. He got rid of the Vatican embassy in Washington. The socialist leaders in this world do not usually have much reverence for the Pope.
