For over a decade, Iran has had a robust, active ballistic missile development program. There are new developments on this front. Before we link those, here are the basics of the Iranian ballistic missile program…
Iran has several types of ballistic missiles, ranging from Short Range Ballistic Missiles (SRBM) to Intermediate Range Ballistic Missiles (IRBM). Some are imported systems, some are domestic copies of foreign systems and some are indigenous systems. Iran is also known to be working on ICBMs–Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles.
According to the Obama Defense Department’s “Annual Report on the Military Power of Iran,” published in April of 2012, US intelligence estimates indicate that Iran will be capable of testing Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles in 2015. A May 2009 joint US-Russian assessment published by the East-West Institute estimated that Iran was 6-8 years away from fielding an ICBM. The United States Institute of Peace estimates that Iran will have an ICBM capable of striking the US by 2020.

The Iranians thanks to their support of Assad have stationed mobile Chinese made short range ballistic missiles in forward positions in Syria. If Israel attacks Iran, it will suffer a devastating counterattack from these missiles. The Iranians have also fortified the Persian Gulf with shore to ship missiles.If the big blue water carrier groups operating in the narrow Persian Gulf are engaged, the US Navy faces a debacle worse than Pearl Harbor in less than 15 minutes. Since Obama has made it abundantly clear that he has no intentions of attacking Iran, he ought to withdraw those ships from harms way.

Iran wants to wipe Israel off the map. Dems will ignore it because in the short run the horror works to their advantage.
Iran will bully Arab neighbors in the ME with violence, threats of violence, and manipulation. They’ll break up countries and give the spoils to those who have helped them... The Chicago Way Nuclear... After Iran consolidates their wins, they’ll come after us.
If (heaven forbid) such a scenario like that happened, the wun would simply say something along the lines that it was a budget reduction effort and no replacements will be built and then go on another world wide vacation and apology tour.

Anyone that claims Iran wants nuclear production capability only for peaceful purposes has smoked more dope and snorted more coke than Barry Soetoro and completely fried their brain.
