Democratic Super PAC refuses to release back up for claim in ad against GOP candidate

The chairman for the Democratic Kentucky Family Values PAC is refusing to release the citations for a key claim in a new radio advertisement running in the special election in western Kentucky’s 7th House District.

The ad is aimed at Republican candidate Suzanne Miles and says her “family’s businesses got $2.5 million in federal handouts.”

Cary Blankenship, the chairman for the Kentucky Family Values PAC, refused to tell Pure Politics how the group arrived at the $2.5 million figure. Four times Blankenship said he “doesn’t discuss strategy” when asked directly about the facts behind the claims of the ad.

Blakenship is listed as an assistant professor of history at Centre College.

Miles is running in the special election to replace former Rep. John Arnold, D-Sturgis, who resigned his seat in September amid allegations that he sexual harassed legislative staffers. Miles, a constituent services representative for Republican U.S. Rep. Brett Guthrie, faces Democrat Kim Humphrey in the Dec. 10 special election for the 7th House seat, which covers southern Daviess County, part of Henderson and all of Union counties.

It is a lie. Lying is their strategy. Leftists have been doing that forever.

Love the excuse given is that they “don’t discuss strategy” when asked to cite a source for the claim in the ad. LOL...the strategy is apparently to just make unfounded allegations.

I’ll be voting for Suzanne Miles and Bevin in the primaries.

Sick of Mitch and anyone with a D after their name.

Probably learned this trick from Dingy Harry who falsely claimed that Romney hadn’t paid taxes for 10 years—a bald-faced lie. No way Romney could disprove it except for releasing his tax date.

These people are lower than snakes. The Republican candidate in this race should accuse this Dim operative of covering up a pedophilia past. Let him explain that charge away.

Guarantee the info came from the IRS or some other gov’t agency. That’s why they won’t talk about it...

Did Johnny Deadline mean “sexually” harassed staffers?

The facade is gone, it's as pure bullsh1t as possible to get into power, plain and simple.

DO NOT EXPECT anything less, but there are plenty of ways to counter and defend against it. there are just too few candidates who want to go there.

Thank you for voting for Bevin, but have you examined your fellow Kentuckians? It is most discouraging to do so.

What are the chances that this seat will flip to the GOP?
