The Catholic Church has seen ideologies come and go. She doesn’t need history lessons from Whigs and neocons.

A free market philosophy is the antithesis of ideology. It is the natural order of nature, God's work. The Church should have a high regard for that view.

On the other hand, when the Catholic church uses words such as "unfettered capitalism" and "unbridled capitalism", it is using the language of an ideology, Marxist ideology. I view this as naivete on their part, since I cannot imagine the Church would intentionally use the language of atheists. Or could it be the insidious effects of revolutionary theology, still present, despite Cardinal Ratzinger's admonitions?
