Whatever the excuse, if 4 MILLION conservatives had not stayed home and would have voted for the conservative against Dr. O we would not be in this mess.
4 million votes would have given a loss that would have had him seeking solace at the Chicago Turkish (gay) bath with Reggie and some weed.
Incredible picture huh?

He ran not just a lousy campaign, but he TRIED to get rid of social, religious conservatives.
He INTENTIONALLY told them to get lost.
They did.
It’s not on them; it’s on him.

If Romney had actually supported the Pro-Life position instead of supporting the Pro-Choice position, you know, the murdering of babies, he might have better positioned himself to get the votes of the base of the party, the principled conservatives.
If Romney had actually not supported the Gay Agenda, as he did in his campaign, he might have better positioned himself to get the votes of the base of the party, the principled Christian conservatives.
If Romney had actually fought against Obama, the absolute worst Democrat Candidate in decades, instead of running on a platform of I'm not Obama, he might have better positioned himself to get the votes of the base of the party and independents.
If Romney hadn't lied about his positions, especially being Pro-Life as he did on August 27th of 2012 when he came out and stated his position had always been in support of Abortion in the cases of Rape, Incest, Life and HEALTH of the mother AFTER proclaiming he had always been pro-life at CPAC, he would have proven himself more trustworthly and not painted himself with the tag of LIAR so prominently. Once again, he would have positioned himself much better to gain the votes of those conservatives that you are wont to blame for his loss.
In real terms, this was Romney's election to lose. He faced the worst(Easiest to beat by any GOP candidate) Democrat candidate he could face in Barack Obama. It doesn't get any better than running against Barack Obama. Romney chose not to fight, except against conservatives, the base of his party, in an ill-conceived attempt at getting moderates to vote for him. He purposefully took the approach of thumbing conservatives in the eye, in effect telling them that "where-else are you going to go".
If you objectively, and truthfully want to assign blame for the GOP loss at the Presidential level in 2012, you'll have to start and finish with Romney. It's his fault.

If the last two GOP presidential candidates actually played to win they might have won.
If there was any considerable difference between the GOP candidates they might get more conservative support.
If the democrats didn’t have 120% voter turn out in many precincts we might have had a chance. If the GOP actually investigated/prosecuted election fraud they might one day win.
