Thank about all the millions of dollars that were spent for equipment to fight this war by American companies Think about the multitudes of American people who were employed building all this equipment. Only think about the economic end of wars and how many jobs are created by us jumping into every conflict that we can. There is benefits to being the world police force, I think. The Democrats ran the defense industry to gain votes. Defense votes for Democrats are in competition with other means to buy votes.
Conservatives run it to increase the capability to kill people and break things. Every program that promises the ability to kill people and break things is in competition with other ways to kill people and break things.
Not all Republicans are conservative.
