Sen. Ted Cruz on Sunday blasted the nuclear deal with Iran, saying it doesnt sufficiently rein in Tehrans nuclear program.
According to the interim agreement regarding Irans nuclear program that was reached this weekend in Geneva, not one centrifuge will be destroyed, the Texas Republican and potential 2016 presidential candidate said in a statement. Not one pound of enriched uranium will leave Iran. Not one American unjustly detained in Irans notorious prisons will be released. But Iran will start to receive, in a matter of days, $7 billion in relief from international economics sanctions. The administration has gotten it backwards and it is time to reverse course before any further damage is done, Cruz added, saying that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was right to strongly criticize the compromise.
Several other potential Republican presidential candidates have been quiet so far about the interim deal reached over the weekend, though Florida Sen. Marco Rubio was also called it a mistake.
By allowing the Iranian regime to retain a sizable nuclear infrastructure, this agreement makes a nuclear Iran more likely, Rubio said in a statement Saturday night. There is now an even more urgent need for Congress to increase sanctions until Iran completely abandons its enrichment and reprocessing capabilities.
The six-month agreement reached in Geneva is designed to freeze the nuclear program in exchange for some relief from sanctions, though senators from both sides of the aisle have indicated that they will push ahead with new sanctions.
All the smiling embraces between diplomats after the interim deal was signed notwithstanding, Cruz said, the Iranian regime remains a brutal and oppressive dictatorship that pursues nuclear weapons for the purpose of dominating the Middle East and threatening America and our allies, notably Israel.

Hmmm. Maybe the White House E-mail server is down, so they're still waiting for their orders.

It’s North Korea all over again.
“Give us billions and we promise to stop.”
And then they laugh all the way to the bank and before you know it, they later go ahead and successfully test the bomb.

Go stick your head in the political sand elsewhere.
Iran, with the bomb, which this fake agreement is all about, will unloose hell in the middle east and that hell will reach us as a result.
You Ron/Rand Paul types are completely ignorant where foreign policy is concerned.

What was achieved last night in Geneva is not an historic agreement; it is an historic mistake

Yes remove me. I won’t support a war monger. Our country is in a economic mess from constant wars and nation building that our own country is falling apart. Defend America not the world.
Sorry I have appreciated your effort is locating someone other than stamped Wall Street Republican but Cruz has joined the chorus.

Yes, the clintons and obama want countries like Iran and North Korea to have nuclear power and both had their dupes to make it happen, carter, kerry and albright. The clintons are also for the destruction of America but the fascist hadn’t made enough gains by then to be as blatant about it as obama and the fasciocrats

Then I bet you would not have supported the patriots of 1776 either, because by your definition, they were nation building and war mongers.
As I posted to another poster, don't let your political ideology blind you to what is most important.
If Iran gets the bomb, you, I, and the rest of America is not safe.
I understand your position concerning Iraq and Afghanistan, however, this is not in the same category.
A crazy man who thinks he is the incarnation of the 12th Imam and hates Israel is about to get the bomb.
This is not about Nation Building or war-mongering, this is about the safety, security, and ability to survive of this nation.
