Oil prices are likely to drop, analysts said, as the nuclear accord between Iran and six world powers potentially paves the way for more crude oil to reach the global market.

A problem I have with the way Obama is trying to sell this is as he is positioning it as a binary choice, Some type of agreement, or war. This is a straw man and a false premise. The sanctions in place have crippled the Iranian economy and have basically impeded Iran's ability to build up its military resources. These sanctions have been working. What Obama is doing is cutting a deal that will put billions of dollars a year into the Iranian economy for the rulers of Iran to do with however they please. All the happy talk coming from Iran is simply to get their hands on this much needed money. This will expedite Iran reaching it's stated goals, and those goals are very frightening and likely will result in many deaths. Tightening sanctions and keeping the pressure on the Iranian economy is a cost effective and safer alternative than allowing billions to flow into Iranian economy as Obama deal will do immediately.
Doesn’t the agreement put western inspectors into Iran’s nuclear facilities, on a weekly basis?
I am a supporter of nuclear energy - the way the French power their economy. In the US, it’s been largely blocked by environmentalists, but it ought to be the principal energy source for all country - much more efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally safe than all alternatives. That Iran (or any other country) wants nuclear power isn’t a problem for me - quite the opposite. If we’ve got inspectors in there almost 24-7, to make sure they don’t go beyond nuclear-created electricity (we could bomb them in a hearbeat if they did), I’m ok.
What I don’t want is yet another middle east war. the Iraq war gave us $1 trillion in debt at least. And it gave us Democrat control of the federal government. Obamacare is a direct result of the Iraq war and its massive unpopularity.
Yet many folks on Free Republic seem to be hankering for another middle east war - this time, against Iran.
I yearn for the days of Reagan, when you could be considered a conservative and support containing our enemies, not invading them.
Nope. Because there is no agreement. Right now Iran and the Obama administration can't agree on what they agreed upon. The Iranians are disputing the terms the Obama administration said were agreed to.
“That Iran (or any other country) wants nuclear power isnt a problem for me - quite the opposite.”
Really? Iran announced yesterday they have developed some very interesting capabilities. Sounds really peaceful. The timing is a real f-you to the world.

Again, the strawman of “this agreement or war” is a false choice and a false premise being put out by the Obama administration. I reject it, but you are free to embrace it as your comments indicate you do.
