Secretary of State John Kerry travels to Geneva Friday to join Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov who arrived in Geneva Friday for an effort to end the standoff in the talks between the six major powers and Iran on an interim accord for Irans nuclear program. Both will try and narrow the differences between the parties and bring them closer to an agreement. While in the Swiss city, Lavrov also plans to meet the UN special envoy for Syria Lakhdar Brahimi and US diplomats Monday to work on preparations for an international peace conference on Syria.
Just the words Iran wanted to read.
We will see. If he does I'm buying french wine and cheese for Thanksgiving.
If we’re lucky, Kerry’s plane will crash.
“The French President stood with Bibi this week and promised to hold the line.”
The cynic in me wonders if this is a game of good cop/bad cop, with France in the latter role. Either way, if it stops a bad deal, then it’s OK.
Isn’t lavarov the guy that called Obama a monkey with a grenade in his hand?
French are only ones playing down chance of a deal:
“As long as there is no agreement, there is no agreement. You know our position ... it’s a position based on firmness, but at the same time a position of hope that we can reach a deal,” Fabius said.
guess you could say with this gang of mooselimb loveng pukes in charge Israel is screwed.
