Vice President Joe Biden visited a protest this morning being held by Mexican citizens demanding American citizenship.
The protest is being held on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Mexican citizens and their supporters are holding a fast to call attention for their demand for American citizenship.
Photos were posted on Twitter by “Fast for Foreigners”.
In a tweet by Fast for Foreigners retweeted by the official Obama administration Spanish language account, Biden was quoted as telling the protesters:
VP: The 7 billion other people in the world are already American citizens.
Some of their kids are Americans, according to our own laws. They are not.
