We need to understand that this was a reaction to the root causes of institutional racism and you have a young urban teen trying to express his frustration with racial injustice. We need to focus on eliminating white privilege and find a way to rescue this young man from the court system otherwise this could turn into a real tragedy! Maybe Oprah can do a special on why he’s angry and how a legacy of slavery forced him to make a statement against the system,because the focus should be to understand his pain and victimization.
