The White House is planning to tweak Obamacare deadlines again to make up for the botched rollout, and the latest move appears to be both practical and politically advantageous. The enrollment period for 2015 is scheduled to start on Oct. 15, but Bloomberg reports that date will be pushed back a month, according to an official from the Department of Health and Human Services who asked to remain anonymous because the decision hasn't been announced. The stated purpose is to give insurers more time to deal with technical problems, analyze the mix of people signing up through the marketplaces (which is particularly important since younger, healthier people are expected to wait until the last minute), and set rates for 2015. And in a happy coincidence for Democrats, enrollment would start 11 days after the midterm elections.
According to Politico, the HHS official described the delay as "good news for consumers, who will have more time to learn about plans before enrolling." Enrollment for 2015 is currently set to run from Oct. 15, 2014 to Dec. 7, 2014, but the change would add an extra week, with sign-ups beginning on Nov. 15, 2014 and ending on Jan. 15, 2015. If premiums shoot up in 2015, it could be disasterous, and Jonathan Gruber, an MIT economist who helped design the law, told Bloomberg, "Its in the nations interest [that insurers] get time to make those decisions."
Plus, as noted by Mike Tuffin, a former insurance industry lobbyist and current managing director of APCO Worldwide's D.C. office, thanks to the month-long delay, "consumers will not see their 2015 premiums until after the midterm elections, instead of immediately before." Tuffin adds, "One doesnt have to be a conspiracy theorist to divine the motive here." And if anyone doesn't see it, Obamacare's opponents should be eager to spell it out.
Such is The Obama Law of The Land.
Republicans can run a FUD campaign, and they have a lot more credibility. Plus, there should be cancellation notices being sent out regardless.
WHACK
They’re in full demonic-rat protection mode, but that crap won’t sell.
Democrats are engineering their own genuine FUD scenario; why would Republicans need to do a single thing but sit there and watch it happen? The quieter the GOP are right now (other than putting up the occasional return-to-sanity bill only to see it hysterically swatted down), the better. Let people’s faces get completely full of Rat. They’ll hate Rat all the more later.
that crap wont sell.

Nope, it sure won’t.
They’re in trouble and they know it.
“The stated purpose is to give insurers more time to deal with technical problems...”
Such as the Namesake changing the rules again with six weeks left before the New Year?
Theyre in trouble and they know it.

That’s right.
Theyre in full demonic-rat protection mode, but that crap wont sell.
Yes it will. The most damage won’t happen until AFTER the election. The donks in the senate will be safe.
Couldn’t dem opponents campaign on viable projections, point out that they are being delayed, and call the dems liars, on top of everything else. If, that’s a big IF, with republicans, if they handle this right, they could really shine some light on the dems - and it wouldn’t be the first time americans had been lied to by the admin.
The insurance companies are just going to have to get their ummm...ummmm...non-renewal notices out a month early....lol
“Obamacare” won’t make it to the midterms. Wayyy too many pissed-off low-info voters (the Democrat base). Never has a political party done anything that more alienated its essential voters than the 100% Democrat “Obamacare” has. They’ll keep desperately spinning it, but it’s curtains.
Must mean the projected premiums for 2015 are looking like they have to be double 2014 to cover for the losses happening right now.
Make a Facebook page. Put a statement on it saying if the government doesn’t repeal obamacare - people will withdraw all their money from the banks. Set a date for a Monday.
Three hours to three days later, it will be repealed.
I call this The Nuclear Option, or Bank-Run Activism.
At minimum, I’ll wager.
Impeachment in One Article:
Obama is willfully negligent in enforcing the ACA as passed into law.
Watch House dems squirm and Senate dems choke on it.
But what about all the people who have already been kicked off their insurance or their Doctor is no longer available? They have already been adversely affected and in 2014 come Tax day there will be some mad people who will be having to pay not a 95.00 penalty as they were told but 1% of their salary for not having insurance what about those people they will be pissed.
Why is there a delay?
As a contingency.
On July 2 Obama announced a year delay for business with 50 or more employees.
Why? Because in March[1,2] he was briefed on a report warning of the potential for system failure that could make the health care exchanges inaccessible to consumers trying to buy insurance through them.
Most people have insurance through their employer.
By delaying the mandate for employers he minimized the number of persons effected by a non-functioning website.
His illegal delay decree ought to be declared by Congress as irrelevant, of no force, and DEMAND that the law be enforced. DO NOT GIVE OBAMA THE LUXURY OF TIME.
TIME IS NOT OUR ALLY - IT IS OBAMA'S!
Hes betting on the website being operational by the time the vast majority of people lose their employer provided insurance.
CEDING TIME TO OBAMA MEANS WE LOSE.

Oh, there will be enough that the rest will get the message.
If they are willing.
If not, then yes, another passage through the wringer is prescribed by the Lion of Judah, aka the Great Physician.
