I read it at link.

That sounds like it could be used as a political weapon except there is one huge hole in the current ‘no personal mandates’ rule that has been adopted in reaction to Obama-care, and the hole is in this plan.

That is the federal mandate that hospitals must treat anyone who show up in emergency room then try to get the $$$ back later, usually eating the bills and charging the rest of patients. In Maryland we pay a special tax that reimburses hospitals for this.

I know it may be heresy but that is NOT working and it will be used effectively to beat Republicans on it as it was before.

Any 'plan' ignoring that big problem will be seen as a loser except by the choir.

Conservatives (not to be confused with Rep. Scalise (R-La.)) - do not need to propose an “alternative plan”. Our plan is to repeal Obamacare and get goverment out of the healthcare field altogether.

Conservatives look at government as the problem, not the solution. This is the most fundamental distinction between conservatism and liberalism. He obviously is no conservative.

I don’t want a group of republican politicians tinkering with my healthcare any more than a group of democrats doing the same. Haven’t we learned anything from obamacare? Keep Washington out of it.

That’s what I want, lower priced healthcare that offers more, and doesn’t require me to become a ward of the federal government, like Obamacare does. When it is a matter of give me liberty, or give me health insurance, I’ll take liberty every time.

Why, precisely, would we trust someone who thinks 200 pages is “very concise”?

Here’s an even more concise version: Repeal the thing, in its entirety, immediately!

This sounds like another pie-in-the-sky unworkable plan.

You cannot legislate lower costs unless you institute price controls.

All you can do is allow for free markets and hope the market can lower prices.

If this passes, it smells like a way for the Republicans to take the blame when the whole thing crashes.

This is the one-party system setting us up for single-payer.

Doesn’t matter; the Senate now is a rubber stamp for Valerie’s judges, so any Republican plan that miraculously gets passed will be ruled unconstitutional.

The Republican "alternative to ObamaCare" plan must begin with massive tort reform plus significant elimination of most of the massive overhead-skyrocketing-middle-men-pencil-pushers currently interposed between the doctor/patient relationship (i.e., address the parasite industries sucking on the healthcare system) to address the problems with the cost of healthcare.
In short, return to free market principles.

...getting government out of health care decisions.

Aw, shucks, does that mean we can't have death panels?

Obamacare Lite is any Insurance Bill that any Republican can dream up.

We voted down Romneycare in 2012.

In 2013 Obamacare is a disastrous failure.

Now RINOs are proving that they are incapable of learning from the lessons of History.

WE DO NOT WANT GOVERNMENT RUN INSURANCE !
