McConnell: ‘The solution to this problem is an election’ ("no time for talk of reprisal")

WASHINGTON — Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said Democrats would get their comeuppance for changing the filibuster rules curbing the power of the minority in the 2014 election.

“The solution to this problem is an election,” McConnell said at a Thursday press conference after the Senate voted to go nuclear, changing the rules of the filibuster.

“The solution to this problem’s at the ballot box,” McConnell said. “We look forward to having a great election in November 2014.”

The Minority Leader would not say whether or not he would change the rules back if Republicans won the majority in 2014.

Republicans blasted the long-threatened move by Democrats on Thursday morning.

“This is a power grab,” Tennessee Republican Sen. Lamar Alexander said.

Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain described it as a move made to allow the majority to “ride roughshod over the wishes and views and input of the minority.”

Still, McConnell was noncommittal when asked whether those bad feelings might translate into Republicans using other procedural tactics to stall or otherwise hamstring certain nominees.

“I don’t think this is a time to be talking about a reprisal,” he said. “I think it’s at time to be sad about what’s been done to the United States Senate.”

Always the humble conciliatory capitulator, McConnell just can't bring himself to now rain fire and hell on his opponents.

For in reality, they are not his opponents, they are his friends, and fellow conservative thwarters.

Matt Bevin for Senate!!

Wrong answer. McConnell lacks the passion and energy to be a leader.

Bevin for senate

https://mattbevin.com/

Matt has released a statement on Reid’s naked power grab.

https://mattbevin.com/2013/11/bevin-calls-senates-nuclear-option-egregious-overreach/

This is the man we need in the senate, and across the nation in 2014, conservatives need to mobilize all out to strip Reid of his power.

Reid going nuclear and further emasculating the republican party would go unnoticed by probably 70% of the voting public because the LSM wouldn't even report it - hence- the solution is most definitely not the ballot box.

How out of touch these eunuchs become after a career at the public teat.

Senator Tremblechin?

Mitch has a chin, alright, but it is trembling so fast as to be rendered nearly invisible.

McConnell MUST GO. This guy was apparently born missing a righteous outrage gland.

obozo and his fellow traitors are dragging this country into the abyss and McConnell can't bother getting pissed about it!

“OK, here's the deal with my nuclear option thingy:

Because my buddy Barack's transformation of America isn't moving at the rate Mr. Soros, David Axlerod, Valerie Jarrett and his other handlers anticipated, we simply MUST pack the agencies and courts with more dedicated Marxists and libturds before BO's term is up. And although BO's agency heads will be removed should, allah forbid it, the pubbies take the WH in 2016, they will have had 3 years to bring in so many fellow libturds that a new administration will not be able to clean them all out.

But the courts – especially here in DC – are where the REAL action is! Dontcha just love that LIFETIME TENURE thing? We sure as hell do!

Oh...the finger?

Just my way of telling you Tea Party people that if you don't like it...suck on this!!

ROFLMAO!!!”

Most DISrespectfully, Harry “The Grinning Weasel” Reid

If he's from HAWAII, why does his SSN start with the CONNECTICUT SSN code '042'?

Because he's using a STOLEN SSN. Folks, look up 'SSN prefix by State' and see the list of codes. '042' means CONNECTICUT issued it.
