Obama will still be in the WH. And if the Reps gain control of the Senate, why would they change the rules back so the minority Dems can block them?
The only reason to change them back would be if the Reps think they can't get together and vote along party lines to stop Obama judicial nominees. Then it makes sense to have 60 to enforce cloture knowing that at least 41 Reps will vote together to block nominees.
