So it’s too late?
I’m all ears for solutions.
And I agree the process is a total farce.
The 17th Amendment really screwed federalism on so many levels.
We need divided layers of government to protect individual liberty.
I understood that concept in the 9th grade.
So what do we do now?

Here's the truth if one wants to know it based on human nature and history:

While I'm praying for a Nineveh, I see no efforts in the culture that would galvanize a religious and moral people to repent and recapture the foundations. Only then would we have the moral imperative and power to do what is necessary.

I dread to hear the words 'Pray for this people no more' - as Jeremiah did when his people refused to repent and change their culture back to what was right and moral. But I fear that is coming given the fruits of wickedness that are shaming good people into silence.

We need divided layers of government to protect individual liberty. I understood that concept in the 9th grade. So what do we do now?

I like Levin's ideas on getting the States to propose Amendments to deal with what has been perverted.

However, should such a movement gain traction - it will require bloodshed to enable it to continue.

What is now in power will NOT give up their power by any civil means. Any laws or Amendments passed would be ignored, struck down and those advocating them criminalized.

When the rule of law no longer governs those in power, then no proposed laws will reign them in either. They would have to be imposed by force - and the suffering and misery would be beyond what most Americans would be willing to sacrifice.

What do we do now? We resist. We defy tyranny. We refuse. And when they come to impose their tyranny by force, then we have the moral authority to do what is necessary and sacrifice what is necessary for liberty.

We simply do not know how many will be willing to endure the hard walk and task required to do what is necessary. My gut says - not many in a culture of people who are used to instant gratification.
