I think she’d sound more like that judge that denied Garabanda visiting rights to his adopted son.

I’m angry with your second book. Not at you, and not at why you wrote it, but with the events in the book themselves. It angers me to no end because I know the federal government would allow it, and support it.

There are a lot of judges like her in the real world. The commies are “closing another loop” where they can toss cases between corrupt federal attorneys and corrupt judges and corrupt prosecutors, all operating on a wink-and-nod basis to totally railroad some innocent Americans, like they have done to the Reese family in Deming NM. That’s the county (Luna) where the gringos have gotten anally raped by evil cops with the cooperation of Nazi-like nurses and doctors at the regional medical center. In Luna County, the dirty cops keep the dirtier cops in line by mutual threats of disclosure of past crimes. This makes them easy prey for the FBI and U.S. attorneys. Secrets are bought and sold, and men become enslaved as “informants” blackmailed from every direction, willing to do any dirty deed. Perjury, even murder. Worse than the Whitey Bulger days in Boston, and far more widespread.

So glad that I caught your post because I just finished that book last night! It was amazing and I was really happy that Ranya, Alex and Brian all got the ending they truly deserved. I loved all of the characters whether good or bad and found myself wishing that the book wouldn’t end.

I do get your point about being angry with the current state of today’s leadership in this country, however this was still fiction. For me, it was a perfect break from the daily grind with an intellectual exercise on how bad things can get if we don’t stay informed and engaged. Glad to stand on the front lines of the “information war” with fine FReepers such as yourself and Travis McGee. TM, thanks for sharing your talent with us, you are truly the man and a FR treasure.
