I visited my Physician just the other day. No such question was asked. However, I am on Medicare and I wonder if that was the reason.
Not all of them ask. Mine has not and he was a huge “early adopter” rushing to get his $40,000 incentive.
Tried to ask other questions and I told him that he could tell Sebellius to pound sand. That was early on and nothing since.
I have not been threatened like this woman was with the denial of care.
We’ll see.
The problem I have when I visit my doctor is we compare the sizes of our personal arsenals and our ammo supplies. It’s humiliating; his is always much larger than mine. However, although he didn’t ask the sexual practices question, I did volunteer that I was the infamous Milwaukee Enema Bandit.
I was called in for a “free” exam a few weeks ago. They did not ask about guns, but I knew something was up when they asked me if I was ever depressed, knew where I lived, what town I was now in, what today was, and other irrelevant bits of knowledge.
If they had asked about guns my standard answer is “Break in and find out! If you walk out, I don’t. If you are carried out dead you will know I do.”
