We went to the gulf coast area of Alabama two years ago for a week of vacation in early June. For five entire days we saw a handful of Blacks working in the restaurants and everyone spoke English all the time. It was wonderful.

Many tourist areas of the gulf coast would lack affordable housing for blacks.

Glad you enjoyed your stay! Come back again soon. The Redneck Riviera really is a great place.

I'm still trying to figure out how some idiot in the ‘1800s screwed up and lost the Fl panhandle. Alabama's border should run to the Apalachicola river. Would have made a lot of difference in Alabama's economic situation over the years.
