Then Vice-President Dan Quayle was handed a paper from a teacher, and read from that paper. So there was nothing to see there.

That didn’t stop the liberals, the democrats, and the partisan media from ganging up on him and calling him an idiot who didn’t know how to spell “potato”.

We are just trying to live by the standard set by Obama’s party.

So if they are dishonest, we should be dishonest too.

Fight fire with fire. Fight dishonesty with dishonesty. Fight stupidity with stupidity.

Makes perfect sense to me.

Thanks for the reprint. The Gettysburg Address is the one actually given. And that one had under God in it.

No, he was riding in a Lincoln Town Car.

He drove in from an Airport named after his Secretary, Kennedy.

It has to be true, I read in one of those Common Core Textbooks.

I thought lincoln wrote it while traveling to Gettysburg on the back of an envelope.

That's a myth. Whenever possible, Lincoln prepared for his speeches well in advance. Two of the versions out there come from Lincoln's assistants, Hay and Nicholay. They are usually considered the first and second drafts of the address, and may well have been the address given at Gettysburg. We'll never know. The three other versions - Everett, Bliss, and Bancroft - were recreated by Lincoln in 1864, a year after the event.

I wonder which version of the address is in the Common Core text books, if it is even in there at all.

To O’Bummer, God is subject to interpretation.
