BOSTON (AP) -- Massachusetts' top insurance official said Monday that the state won't allow consumers to keep health insurance policies that fall below the minimum requirements of the federal health care law.

State Insurance Commissioner Joseph Murphy said in a letter sent Monday to the Obama administration that substandard insurance policies are "virtually non-existent" in Massachusetts because of its first-in-the-nation health care law that took effect in 2007.

I guess RomneyCare wasn’t much of a fix after all

Venezuela is now dictating prices to retail stores, shelves are empty.

Their “lead looter” is more popular than ever

Well the productive class has been fleeing there for a while. Given some of the Venezuelan ladies I have met here attending school, I wish more would arrive. There is always a silver lining.

I agree generally, but the middle of the Commonwealth is generally a nice, affordable place to live if you can find a job. By that I mean west of 495 to Springfield. Long ago when there was a Fort Devens, new arrivals were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was there and quite a few retired to the area.

Trumps is better. I struggled with that post knowing that Romneycare was already broken.

I enjoy Texas except for the hot summers. I don’t foresee us ever actually moving to MA since owning a house is a requirement. Even in NH the housing costs are ridiculous. While I may go back to the Midwest (like 4 full seasons we don’t get in TX), Texas has been very good to us. Live in one of the only ‘boom’ areas in the country right now.

Thanks. I don’t think it ever will actually happen. We could never go back to an apartment or something after owning our own house, and buying would not be possible even in NH even with the higher salaries.

Texas has been very good to us. I loved it when visiting, but there are some places that are good to visit but never actually live at.

I wouldn’t say I enjoy myself all the time, but I deal with it because of my family.

Oddly, (and I know I might be going from bad to worse), Vermont might be a destination in my future. Not just for the landscape and remoteness, but the fact that they may be one of the most 2nd amendment friendly states (next to Texas) in the country. It’s easy to ignore liberals because most of what comes out of their mouth is vomit.

You should get down on your knees this evening and thank G-d you were spared from making this mistake. :-)
