Obama's Obamacare Deception: You May Not Know the Half of It

Just when you think things can't get much worse with Obamacare, another shoe drops. Correction: This thing has enough dropping shoes to fully fit a centipede.

That Obama deliberately lied (please excuse the redundancy, but it is apparently necessary to clarify one's meaning in this postmodern age) in telling people they could keep their plans and doctors is now beyond dispute. He and his handlers have tried to obfuscate the issue with further deception but have fallen way short of passing the laugh test.

Some liberals have taunted me on Twitter that all politicians lie. Well, that certainly ends the inquiry, does it not? Forever after, we'll yield to this cynical pronouncement and decline to hold any politicians accountable. Perhaps we should dispense with all moral codes altogether, because we're all sinners.

Of course, anyone who makes these kinds of arguments advertises himself as too intellectually dishonest to be taken seriously. Do you think any of these people would so casually excuse a person lying to them in their personal or business lives about an important matter?

So from the perspective of those of us in the real world, Obama has himself in quite a pickle.

The entire country -- at least that portion that is not brain dead or brainwashed -- knows Obama lied to all Americans to deceive them into supporting his plan for the government to absorb one-sixth of the economy.

In his non-apology ("it's on me, but I'll be darned if I'm going to give an inch in my fervent obsession to impose socialized medicine on you"), Obama dug himself a deeper hole. He told us that only some 5 percent of the American people would lose their plans. Most people, he assured us, get health insurance through their employer and won't be affected.

He wants us to forget that he demanded we change the entire health care system for a smaller percentage of Americans than that -- those 8 million to 10 million who not only can't afford health insurance but also don't qualify for any government assistance -- as I've noted before. Five percent is an insignificant number when Obama has directly caused their harm, but 3 percent is astronomical when it serves his purpose of advancing statism.

Too bad for Obama that his problems don't end with this inconsistency, which exposes his hypocrisy and opportunism. He was lying about the 5 percent figure, as well.

We've already seen a number of news stories reporting that the administration knew that Obamacare would force far more than 5 percent of Americans out of their plans. But my friend Andy McCarthy has just put the final nails in this coffin, in his latest piece for National Review (http://www.nationalreview.com/article/364176/obamas-5-percent-con-job-andrew-c-mccarthy/page/0/1).

Andy refers to Obama's latest excuse as the "5 percent" con job. In the first place, the individual health care market is not 5 percent but 8 percent. This additional 3 percent is probably some 10 million more Americans. No big deal, right?

But that's not the half of it -- literally. Andy notes that the administration's internal estimates have shown, for at least three years, as reported in the Federal Register, that most of the 156 million Americans covered by employer plans will also lose their coverage under Obamacare. He adds that the administration also let the cat out of the bag in a letter to state insurance commissioners, wherein it admitted that small businesses -- not just "individuals" -- would be among those whose plans would be canceled.

Just in case the administration tries to worm out of these latest damning revelations, Andy presents another one that should put such disingenuous denials finally to rest. In a brief submitted to the federal district court in Washington by Obama's Department of Health and Human Services in a case over the conscience clause (another matter poisoned by Obama's abject deception), the administration conceded that "even under the grandfathering provision," it is estimated that "a majority of group health plans will have lost their grandfather status by the end of 2013." Point. Game. Set. Match.

In the meantime, on ABC's "This Week" on Sunday, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., outright admitted that Obama's "keep your plan" promises were false. She said: "We all knew. The whole point of the plan is to cover things people need, like preventive care, birth control, pregnancy."

So, you see, the entire national Democratic Party apparatus has conspired to deceive Americans about a vital matter -- their own health care -- in order to advance its agenda.

You still think this is just about health care? Well, another Democratic leader, Rep. James Clyburn of South Carolina, admitted that with Obamacare, what Democrats are "trying to do is change a values system in our country."

That pretty much sums up modern liberalism as embodied in the Democratic Party. Come hell or high water, Democrats will coerce us, via the power of the federal government, into thinking and believing as they do and living under their utopian Leviathan state.

Obamacare must be repealed -- yesterday.

Zero only adds up to zero...and Obama has been a zero from day one.

INDEED!

And this goes for all both Left and Right.

SPREAD THE WORD: So many Obamacre deceits and lies---so little time. Cancellations of existing policies is NOT A GLITCH--NOT AN ERROR--NOT AN ACCIDENT. Cancellation of millions of polices is a FEATURE of Obamacare.

==============================================

THIS JUST IN At a recent Dem fundraiser, .neither Biden nor candidate Hagan breathed a word about Obamacare. But, hey....give 'em A for effort---heck, it's hard to talk when you're up to your neck in quicksand (cackle).

Republicans say Democrats who voted for Upton's "keep it" bill won't save themselves from the political fallout of the bill in 2014. Nearly every vulnerable Democrat in the House voted for the fix.

But Republicans argue that, if anything, those votes are just examples of Washington duplicity — and they won’t let voters forget it. “The clear lie and rank hypocrisy on health coverage will be a major issue next year,” said Dan Conston, communications director for the Congressional Leadership Fund, a GOP super Pac. “They’re caught in a lie that’s going to haunt them in a year.”

Brock McCleary, the head of Harper Polling and a former National Republican Congressional Committee polling director, said the attempts from Democrats to fix the law could backfire. “It's bad enough that you own ObamaCare. Now to vote for a fix makes you appear duplicitous and to fit the mold of the typical Washington politician,” he said.

Their "keep it" support reflects the bleak political reality Democrats face in the wake of the rocky rollout and news reports that millions of Americans have lost their insurance under ObamaCare, shattering a promise President Obama made that “if you like your plan, you can keep it.”

Their efforts to support the "keep it" law could get even worse for Democrats. “It’s like quicksand. It's sucking people in. And this is just one component. Just wait until the next piece of this law is rolled out.” --SNIP---rest at FR web site.

Democrats are full of remorse...regretting that worshipping Obama made them vote for Obamacare. But some Dems got religion. They now worship at the "Church of Whatever Saves My Seat." ....... Thank you, Jesus.
