Roger Daltrey, the frontman of The Who, has said he will never, ever forgive Labour for their policies on immigration.
The singer accused the Labour Party of destroying the jobs of my mates by not controlling mass immigration when in power.
Mr. Daltrey, 69, said the reason he no longer supports the Labour Party is because of stupid thinking on Europe that allowed large numbers of EU nationals to work in England.

Wont get fooled again? Or the Labour Party hoped he and his mates died before they got old . . . ?They destroyed my mates jobs: Who frontman Roger Daltrey blames Labour for immigration policy which left working class unemployed
See the new boss...same as the old boss.
That's pretty rare. Usually the opposite. A liberal singer says no to a conservative using their music. (Even if they paid for the rights)
The social and cultural decay of Britania were evident even back in the day when Tommy and Quadrophenia were first released.
Most of us like Roger tend to grow wiser as we age. Can’t say that’s true of most celebrities though.
“A liberal singer says no to a conservative using their music.”
Probably why Rush spins the Pretenders song at his intros.
I am not sure why “conservative” means closed borders.
I thought conservative meant no welfare but open borders much like the USA was from 1700 to 1900.
Remember just last month Daltry sang “Won’t Get Fooled Again” at the dedication ceremony for Churchill’s Bust (I think it was the Capitol building) Bela Pelosi was there amongst others. The meaning of the song went right over the idiot politicians heads.
I am not sure why conservative means closed borders.

Not “closed” but “controlled” , immigration has been and is out of control not only in the USA but throughout Europe. I believe white people are a minority in London at this time.

Rush discussed the use of that song in some depth on his show once. You can probably find it by searching his archives for the string “My City Was Gone” though I havent tried it myself.
Short version: He liked the easily-recognized beat — record company letter “don’t use that song” — Crissy Hind said let him use it even though I hate his guts.
Because her parents adore Rush.

There is no labor shortage in the USA, LEGAL and ILLEGAL immigration is killing the USA standard of living.
thanks for the info. :)
“There is no labor shortage in the USA, LEGAL and ILLEGAL immigration is killing the USA standard of living.”
Actually, immigration increases the standard of living if there is no govt. intervention (like welfare or subsidies) involved.
Free trade and free movement of capital and labor to the highest and best uses drive the most vibrant economies. (as long as the govt. stays out).
There cannot be open borders with the current welfare state so stop your farce. Marx knew open borders and Free Trade ruined the middle class, he was in favor of it. So quit sounding like a Marxist.
“so stop your farce.”
You need to stop your bullcrap name calling.
I have made no “farce”. Every post says “conservatism means (less govt.) less border control as long as there is no welfare.”
I merely point out that govt. interference in the free motion of goods, services, capital or labor hinders the economy.
I always caveat that with AS LONG AS THERE IS NO WELFARE.
WHERE IS THE FARCE (OR WHERE IS THE MEAT ?)
There is nothing conservative about open borders. You are a libertarian not a conservative. Which is fine I guess as long as you portray yourself as one.
