Barack Obama being clear that his team messed up Obamacare made it hard for liberal PBS NewsHour pundit Mark Shields to try Democrat Happy Talk.
Instead, Shields joined the liberal gloomfest: “If this goes down, if the Obama -- if health care, the Affordable Care Act is deemed a failure, this is the end -- I really mean it -- of liberal government.” He even acknowledged Obama lied about Keeping Your Plan:
MARK SHIELDS: That is -- wasn't a true statement. And you're driven to one of two conclusions. Either the president was almost -- almost negligently uncurious in not asking about what the answer was, or he made the choice to trade his considerable reputation and record of integrity for short-term political gain. That's why they had to come and that's why there was such consternation in the ranks.
JUDY WOODRUFF: How do you explain it, David, what happened, with the president acknowledging yesterday that he wasn't on top of it?
DAVID BROOKS: Yes, I think it is politics. They knew that they -- getting this thing passed -- we were there -- it was hard. And so they were pulling out every political stop in the book. And a lot of those political stops have made it harder now. The first early one was, they were really late in issuing the regulations because they didn't want them to come out during the campaign so Romney could attack them.
As a result, the whole implementation got pushed back, and that's part of the reason the Web site is such a mess. And then they made this political calculation. Then they made the -- that they weren't going to tell you there will be losers here. And they made the political calculation....

With all of their effort to shift the blame, the truth is the Democrats own Obamacare. Republicans have never wanted it and never voted for it. Because of Obamacare's numerous flaws, Republicans have had 37 floor votes to improve Obamacare by taking out its dangerous parts. As a result, their efforts were rejected by the Democrats in the Senate. Knowing the disaster that Obamacare was, the Republicans sent up more bills to fully and partially repeal, defund, or dismantle Obamacare's worst parts. To say they have not worked to fix it, is fantasy. The truth is, they have always wanted no part of it.
Republican persistence has even been successful: 7 different bills have been signed into law that directly repeal or rescind funding from at least 8 different Obamacare provisions.
However, the Democrat-controlled Senate and the Obama Regime has never ever worked with the Republicans and even shut down the government to stonewall any effort at compromise and to hurt Republicans in the 2014 election cycle.
Because the Democrats have used Obamacare as a political battering ram to hurt Republican, they only have themselves to blame if Republicans let them swing in the wind with the Albatross Obamacare around their necks.

Most of that article was as expected. The one part that bothered me and should bother all of us is the absolute faith the left has (and claims we’re 100% against) in ‘social justice’. I for one don’t want to see people starving in the streets. I don’t want homeless children wandering around like it’s some 3rd world country. Our solutions are different. We also differ in just how far it goes. To the left everything is a right. Everything. We find owning a cell phone to be a luxury, not a right. They think everyone has a right to anything that crosses their mind.
There are otherwise rational people out there who believe every last thing said about us. To many who vote lib we are no better than slave owners. The one thing the right has lost (even in years we’ve won), probably since Reagan is the message war.
Kinda off topic but libs always moan about the end of their product because they’re always looking for sympathy and always working their message.
