March 2007?! Damn, that’s when I was deployed over there, which probably means he was in the same SBCT, since our Battalion held back in Baghdad while the rest of the Brigade went to Diyala province.
That place was no joke, too. I heard plenty of horror stories about what those guys went through. Even as bad as Baghdad was around that time, I was glad not to be in Diyala.

My son was there about that time also. Not sure of the exact dates. This hits a little too close to home.
