You’d think there would be an opportunity here.
Drive up a truck - put up a sign - “Trash removal $x000 Euros.”
They can contribute, or pledge - when the amount is reached you bring in a crew and remove the trash.
It would be interesting to see if the locals think it is important enough pay.

This was tried during the NY strike. The dump sites were closed too so if you had a truck load of trash you couldn’t dump it and you couldn’t return it to the street.
