The governor of Missouri, a conservative state that overwhelmingly approved a constitutional amendment defining marriage as a man and a woman, just chose to unilaterally recognize gay unions from other states. He is splitting hairs and saying he is only letting them file joint tax returns, but effectively they are now fully married at the state and federal level in all but name. He has done this by executive order, without consulting the people.
This is it, gay marriage has come to Red America. If this is allowed to stand without conservative resistance, same sex unions will be recognized in all 50 states in a matter of a couple of years. This better be a major topic tomorrow on conservative news outlets or else it is all over.

What can the legislature do? Can they ‘impeach’ him in some capacity.

Thank you (barf!) Anthony Kennedy. I hope a very stout tree with a large horizontal branch has your name on it.
