Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky restated his position on Tuesday that the attack on the United States compound in Benghazi–and then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s response–should prohibit her from becoming president.

Paul, who has long been outspoken about the terrorist attack, told cadets at The Citadel, a military college in South Carolina, that the commander-in-chief should never be unwilling to send troops to protect the United States’ diplomatic missions.

“Her failure to provide our ambassador and his mission with adequate security should preclude Hillary Clinton from ever holding high office ever again,” he said.

Of all the scandals currently swirling around Zero and his crew, Benghazi is the one that absolutely rises to a 'high crime': dereliction of duty in the face of the enemy. It's a damned shame that the House GOP leadership can't get it's act together and put a select committee together to get to the bottom of it. This would not only provide a basis for Zero's impeachment, but it have the added bonus of putting a stake in the heart of any Hildabeast presidential aspirations.

In the American military it is constantly repeated that we leave no one behind. There are innumerable examples of American fighting men facing steep odds and battling their way into fire into an attempt to rescue fallen comrades. Officers were trained to bring everyone home. Yet, at Benghazi someone failed to order a rescue team. Neither POTUS or SOS have accounted for their actions during the attacks which took place over 7 hours. At that time there were assets available with which to mount a rescue. While there would have been no guaranty such a mission would have succeeded the fact that no attempt was ordered is reprehensible.
