That’s what I remember studying when I was homeschooling, but it’s been so long ago I wasn’t sure, plus after I commented I wish I hadn’t, since I didn’t have time to look it up and I didn’t want to get in an argument. :-)
I know much more about the Bible than I do science, and I hold to the inerrancy of the Word of God from Genesis to Revelation.
I’ve always loved how often true science dovetails with the words from the Bible. The Bible describing the water cycle or man made from dust, recently science even exclaimed man could only physically survive 120 years or so and then our bodies just plain wear out - hmmmm where did I read that before? My prior post had a link to the hydroplate theory that is primarily based on Genesis 7:11.
Too often we remember the 40 days of rain but preceeding it was breaking open the fountains of the great deep and the sky. The hydroplate theory suggests Earth’s crust and atmosphere was violently torn completely around over 25 thousand miles - breaking open much like and egg.
And Dr Walt Brown supplies much geological proof as well as a list of 50 predictions for cementing his theory. Some have already been proven true.
Here is another website link that I love to share. I think the idea of millions and billions of years of time passage was better summed up with Einstein’s gravitational time dilation too.
Enjoy!
