I believe it’s AAM who tells an anecdote about relatives helping control the bridge over the Chattahoochie to Atlanta after the ‘68 event in your list. WWII and Koean War vets with M1s are not to be trifled with.

Not relatives - just residents of a neighborhood. I didn't live there at the time - just heard about it from people who did. Some WWII vets turned out, mostly Korea and Nam alumni. I guess we'd have Gulf War vets now to replace the WWII guys who have mostly answered the last call. :-(
