I’m so sick of the IAM acting like their overpaid existence is a birthright!!! Back when I had a machine shop - making exhaust duct plugs for 777s, the IAM decided to pull my work back in house. I went out to Renton and watched them operate...
The operators on the 6 spindle 250’ mills were sleeping at the controls. Back then - in the early 90’s - they were making almost $40/hr. The absolute LAST machinist I would ever hire would be one from the Lazy B.
They are not very smart or skilled people and always want more.
Years ago I had some Boeing stock, as did many Washingtonians. Sold all mine a long time ago as I got
tired of seeing it fall every time these spoiled machinists made some new demands.
