Prediction: even if HealthCare.gov is fixed by the end of the month (unlikely), Obamacare is going to be repealed well in advance of next year’s election. And if the website continues to fail, the push for repeal—from endangered Democrats—will occur very rapidly. The website is a sideshow: the real action is the number of people and businesses who are losing their health plans or having to pay a lot more. Fixing the website will only delay the inevitable.
It is important to remember why it was so important for Obama to promise repeatedly that “if you like your health insurance/doctor, you can keep your health insurance/doctor.” Cast your mind back to the ignominious collapse of Hillarycare in 1994. Hillarycare came out of the box in September 1993 to high public support according to the early polls. This was not a surprise. Opinion polls for decades have shown a large majority of Americans support the general idea of universal health coverage. But Hillarycare came apart as the bureaucratic details came out, the most important one being that you couldn’t be sure you’d be able to keep your doctors or select specialists of your choice. The Clintons refused to consider a compromise, but even with large Democratic Senate and House majorities the bill was so dead it was never brought up for a vote.

That’s quite a tall order by this author. Obama would never sign off on a repeal of his signature legislation, and there’s no way the Senate will get a rock-solid 2/3 majority to overturn his veto.
Author is a big dreamer. Ocare is the center piece of the socialist agenda. The socialist in this country never admit to mistakes or surrender ground.
But will Obama sign it, or will they have a filibuster and veto proof majority?

After the election, everyone embraced the term "Obamacare" to refer to this abomination. Now, try to find a Dem who refers to "Obamacare". The talking points went out, and they're all calling it the "Affordable Care Act".
Only problem is, they can't figure out how to position this as a liberal "victory".
The author of this piece might be on to something. I'm not as optimistic as him, though, for the reason you stated. Question is how willing Dems are to lose a battle (and their jobs....) but win the war.
The author misses out on two major points that demonstrates he doesn't seem to get the entire point of ObamaCare.
ObamaCare is a ruse, the means in which America gets devastated, destroyed under a so-called health plan that is designed never to work, be implementable to be obsolete from the get-go. This is his master plan never to be abandoned.
Secondly, he doesn't give a rat's behind about the political consequences it unleashes on Democrats. He's in it simply by, for himself for the sole purpose of the destruction, annihilation of America.
Obama will never agree to a repeal. The Democrats have marched lockstep behind their arrogant leader far into the kill zone. There is no retreat or cover. The aggrieved voters will be merciless. The great John Ford movie “Fort Apache” with Henry Fonda And John Wayne is an excellent allegory to what is happening in modern America.
Now that the state has its greasy paws on its holy grail it will never let go.
Every last Democrat who voted for this un-American debacle, just because Obama, Reid and Pelosi told them to, should be defeated the next time they run. It should stick to them like skunk spray.
The insurance industry has already geared business to comply with Obamacare. The regulations are already in effect and can't be stopped that easily.
I see a resurrected bill to “fix” this unfixable mess, and can-kicking down the road to utter failure, but not now.
This will be some muddle-through in the years to come as our healthcare system will be forced painfully into a Brit-style mess.
Remember, this isn't about the citizens of this country. This is more about herding bodies into a “vision” of what's supposedly good for the country. This is about ending Medicare as it exists today and morphing all those seniors into a single payer system. Medicare cannot continue as it exists today.
No. Dipsh!t-care will be delayed, the Stupublicans will get the blame. Then the demoncrats will win both houses of congress- then its full-on commie control of our lives by the IRS via “healthcare.” For our own good, of course.

The author needs a reality check. obastard isn’t going to sign a repeal of one of the planks of his legacy of destruction. At least not without an equally destructive process to replace it.
That said, the rush to remedy this abortion is going to just make it worse. Even if repealed serious long term damage has been done already. Does anyone really expect that this genie can be put back in the bottle? Does anyone really think that the rates will be reduced and everything will go back to “normal”? NO Way.
Author doesn’t understand the blackmail situation on rats and pubbies right now...heck, even Roberts...this isn’t politics, it’s fascism to destroy the US.
