"Yes we have banned Malala's book because it carries the content which is against our country's ideology and Islamic values," Kashif Mirza, chief of All Pakistan Private Schools Federation, told the Agence France-Presse news agency.
And Mirza told the Associated Press that Malala, who has received significant global media attention, had betrayed Pakistan.
She "was a role model for children, but this book has made her controversial," he said, according to the AP. "Through this book, she became a tool in the hands of the Western powers."
He added that the book did not show sufficient respect for Islam because it used the Prophet Mohammed's name without the abbreviation PBUH "Peace Be Unto Him" afterward, as is customary in many regions of the Muslim world.

I have a hard and fast rule.
The more you demand that everyone “respect” your faith, and the less willing you are to allow it to be questioned, the shakier and less justified that faith actually is, especially within your own mind.
Anything that I am expected to believe is above and beyond questioning or critical analysis winds up being the very thing I think needs to be criticised and questioned the MOST.
Maybe the moozlum guy would feel better about her if she were stoned to death or had acid thrown in her face?
What they afraid of?
The light.
They are deathly afraid that the dusty, 1,400 year old curtain of Islamic ignorance will be pulled away, and that the women of Pakistan will glimpse the seductive beacon of civilization shining just within reach.
