Does it have a 9 hole golf course?
When flight ops are thru, why not?
Agreed. It would be nice to name them after events like famous carrier battles (Midway, Coral Sea) or historic patriotic events. I'm happy to hear there will be another Enterprise.
It looks like the magnetic launch system is going to work. I was reading about it and it has closed-loop control so that the stress/strain on the airframe is minimized (controlled acceleration/loading). This might make the planes last longer, and might make it possible to launch modified planes that would otherwise be impossible to launch. The takeoffs are supposed to beat the daylights out of the airframe (and pilot) even if everything goes just right with a steam catapult.
He would be one of those smaller assault boats that travels inside the hull of a larger ship. He wouldn’t really have to work then, like now. We could call it a golfing trawler.
