Bill Elliott has cancer. He had a healthcare plan that had paid for “just about everything” of his cancer treatment, including pharmaceuticals and medical devices like MRI. He had doctors whom he “loved” and his premium was $180 a month

Some else was paying for the rest he wasn’t getting that kind for coverage just for 180 dollars a month.

1500 is more in line for that kind of coverage.

We’ll all be much better off when the Soetorocare Plan is finally de-bugged and we can get on with what’s left of our now pitiful lives.

Thank you for your in depth analysis of poor Bill’s predicament.

There’s several slots left on the bill’s provision for a death panel. Apply.

Do you own a house? Does it have fire insurance?

If it burns down, do you have good coverage?

If it doesn’t burn down, you have paid for someone else’s misfortune.

IT’S CALLED INSURANCE! Maybe you can sleep nights w/o carrying it, but don’t tell the rest of us to be so careless.

Probably worked for a company like mine that picked up 2/3 of the policy. Before I semi-retired not that long ago my portion of was in that ballpark. The company stopped offering that policy probably because it was determined to become a Cadillac plan under ObamaCare.

This is how insurance works. If I remember correctly, you get placed into a group. It's all insurance $ that's been paid in; he was simply unfortunate enough to *win* the cancer lottery.

Having been the recipient of about $3/4M of treatment that kept my little girl alive, I am grateful.

Having to make choices like he's having to make - that's just wrong.

Probably employer provided group coverage. They usually pay around 50%.

“Someone else was paying for the rest he wasn’t getting that kind for coverage just for 180 dollars a month.”

Right, that’s what insurance is all about. Those in good health pay for those with issues. Insurance companies bank on having more fit customers than not. It’s actuarial statistical science. It’s worked well for decades and provided us all with the best, most effective, cutting edge, advanced, reasonably affordable, health care system in the world.

So let’s just trash it and rape everyone. That’s fair right?
This isn’t about “healthcare”, it’s about the biggest veiled tax hike, population control and redistribution scam in world history.

comment not directed at you personally, just a rhetorical observation. I’ve noticed thin skins around here lately.
