I just commented the following on another thread, it’s applicable here.

My wife or I have never missed a primary or election and have never voted for a democrat for anything. We have been members of Republican organizations and still are, we have given time and money. The RNC and the NRSC are dead to us.”
Perot happened because the Republican nominee was a RINO who went back on his "no new taxes" pledge.
Lousy candidates produce lousy results (Bush I, Bush II, Dole, McCain, Romney). Bush II only won because the Rats also ran lousy candidates (Gore, Kerry).
If the GOP runs another RINO, the same damn thing will happen, 3rd party or not. If the Tea Party folds, you can be absolutely sure another worthless RINO will be nominated who will run like he doesn't care whether he wins or not.

Holy crap!! Rove has stooped to becoming a poseur (inserting the words “Conservative Victory” into one of his PACs) in an attempt to FOOL the gullible among the Republican base. We’re not going to be fooled, Karl.
