Dont count Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus among those who believe comprehensive immigration reform is dead this Congress.
Despite exasperation among reform advocates that the House has refused to vote on any major immigration bill particularly the Senate-passed legislation Priebus said that his gut feeling is that the House will indeed pass an immigration overhaul in the next 14 months.
Something significant is going to happen because obviously mass deportation is not an option. I dont think doing nothing is an option. And I believe most people would agree that something significant needs to take place. Now what that is, I dont get to make that decision, Priebus told Bloombergs Al Hunt in an interview set to run Friday evening on Political Capital.

The deportation of large numbers of illegals isn’t an option? Why? As a kid in south Texas ranch country, seeing la migra’s vans loaded with illegals picked up on one of the big farms/ranches, headed for the border was a sight so common it barely caused comment. Same on construction sites in the 80’s.
What is wrong with multiplying the green vans about 100 times, raiding jobsites, and transporting the illegals back home, but start with forbidding any freebies for any who isn’t a US citizen? Priebus is a total idiot if he hasn’t thought of this...
Wow an appeal to the LEGAL immigrants who are all ready.
Amazing how that idea doesn't cross Reince's mind.

“Immigration Reform” may not be dead but reince prince is dead to me. First election I voted in was 1964 Republican Primary when I turned 21. My wife or I have never missed a primary or election and have never voted for a democrat for anything. We have been members of Republican organizations and still are, we have given time and money. The RNC and the NRSC are dead to us.
Reince Priebus, another DNC deep cover plant.
The mass deportation thing is a red herring to throw yo off of what is really needed and that is work place verification and a border fence. The point is if an illegal walked, took a plane or rode a burro to get here they can go back by the same route. Cut off the sugar and they self deport.
Very good point. That is the key: self deportation and punishment for those that are more motivated by profit than saving our republic's future.
