Ormoc City has no power or water still. There are dead and missing that they can't reach yet. I am getting sporadic texts from my friends there, as they restored the cell service on generators. But, most of them can't recharge their phones...

Thanks to all of the great FReepers who have shown concern for the people of the Philippines. we did get brief word about our Philippine branch of family - via a relative in Australia - that they 'are safe and well' - (lived in CEBU - but no other word yet as to if they still have their home or businesses -
But thank You, GOd, fro bringing them through alive.
