The goblets are being presented to the three Raiders present, in preparation for the toast. Each goblet has their name on it.
Goblets belonging to those who have passed on are present, but overturned.

The Doolittle raid. Wasn’t born yet but still remember. Way to go guys.

Hope they call out the names of those Doolittle Raiders who were captured & then executed by the Japs for the crime of carrying out their mission.

Day is done,
gone the sun.
From the lakes,
from the hills,
from the sky.
All is well,
safely rest.
God is nigh.

Speaker says this concludes our ceremony, and this concludes the mission.
The final toast has been observed.
Reception at the B-25 in the museum to follow, Raiders will be there as well.
Thank you, Gentlemen, and all who served with you on the raid on Tokyo. You defied the odds, performed your charge with bravery, skill, and fortitude, and electrified an entire country, lifting its morale in the post-Pearl Harbor era when the days were so dark.
May God bless you and keep you, and may we never forget what you did for us.

I deeply appreciate your bringing this to the class' attention, this evening. Vicarious though it may be, it was a personal honor to view that ceremony, and to remember what an effect on American morale it was to project air power, on target, when so few believed it to be possible. In it's way, happening when it did, the Tokyo raid was as important as the city-busting, morale crushing atomic bombs dropped on the enemy's Home Islands only a bit more than three years later.
May God grant our nation always have volunteers for dangerous missions.

"I can only imagine what the three men think of our country now. Gentlemen, we apologize."I think your comment may explain why, throughout the entire ceremony, I just cried and cried and cried.
