As Tensions Fall in Iran, So Do Costs of Gasoline (c’mon NYT)

Gasoline prices are tumbling just in time for the holiday shopping season to begin.
Consumers can thank the tentative reduction in tensions in the Middle East and swelling supplies of domestic oil for their good fortune, and energy experts say prices could fall further if negotiations between the West and Iran progress.
The cost of a gallon of regular gasoline has dropped by 6 cents a gallon over the last week alone, in line with a steady swoon through the fall that has brought prices to their lowest levels in three years.

Between the lines: If those pesky Israelis would let Iran just build their bomb in peace, you can have gas prices heading towards 1990s levels again (ya rite)

Huh??
If Iran has nukes then they will be able to influence the ME. More moderate Muslim nations will tow the line in favor of Iran. It would be foolish and naive to think that this won’t affect oil prices.
And there will be an arms race as each of those nations will all want nukes, too.

I figure the only real reason that gas prices are falling is because the Obama EPA plans to slap a dollar a gallon tax on gas real soon. You all know how they operate. Bring the price down, slip the gas tax on so that it isn’t noticed at first, then before you know it, gas prices will be over 5 bucks a gallon because of________________(insert phony reason). Probably EVIL Oil companies ripping off the citizens. LOL

The New York Times has to be the crappiest excuse for journalism since Goebbels’ Reichsministerium für Volksaufklärung und Propaganda.
And at least the Nazis admitted the propaganda function of their “mouthpiece!”

“And there will be an arms race as each of those nations will all want nukes, too.”
Sources in Pakistan said this week that Saudi Arabia has already bought lots of nukes. I think Saudi Arabia is moving towards Mutual Assured Destruction. That worked with the Soviets, who were basically a westernized Christian culture. It won’t work with the Apocalyptic suicide cult that is Iran today.

Don’t think it has anything to do with record domestic production, Obamacare failure tensions, and the lowest ratings he’s ever had, eh?
Reminds of an article written by a liberal who claimed that Obama wasn’t Muslim earlier today. The guy is a deluded idiot. There’s so much evidence he is everywhere how could the guy have missed it if he were a serious journalist?
To: Gen.Blather
Exactly. Apparently, the “smart people” at the NYT missed this point.
Where does this put Israel who are hated by the ME? The obvious answer is to expect a nuclear war after Iran have nukes.
And what affect will a ME nuke war with massive destruction have on gasoline prices? Or even a showdown leading up to a war?

Like a lot of “secular” Christians, a great swath of Jews have been seduced by secular liberalism and have lost their faith. That’s why. Not so hard to figure out.

The liberal wet dream is high gas prices that forces everybody to buy electric cars and ride public transportation. (All, that is, except them. Because, well, that’s not appropriate for them; just the great unwashed masses.)
To: Olog-hai
Add to your comment that they are as embarrassed by Israel as the GOPe is by conservatives. Many liberal Jews believe that if Israel was neutralized, there would be less animosity towards Jews.

"Between the lines: If those pesky Israelis would let Iran just build their bomb in peace, you can have gas prices heading towards 1990s levels again (ya rite)"
That's what goes on in the minds of political folks who say:
* "I wish Israel would hurry up and start a war with Iran."
* "The Jews keep voting for Democrats, so they deserve it."
* "But Syria, Lebanon and Russia are full of Christians!"
* "No problem. We'll just turn Iran to glass."
* "Obama...Obama...Obama...it's all about Obama" (politics--see the next comment).

Excerpts:
As a student of a Catholic high school, the Sisters of Loretta taught me, I am pleased to be at an institution of higher education with such strong and celebrated Catholic and Jesuit traditions . . . You see, I got my Master's Degree at Notre Dame. (Boos.) I acquired a passion for the fighting Irish . . . and my family has been college educated and Presbyterian ever since. (Laughter and applause.) . . . I wandered into a course on international politics taught by a Czech refugee who specialized in Soviet studies, a man who had a daughter by the name of Madeleine Albright. With that one class, I was hooked. I discovered that my passion was Russia and all things Russian.

Remember how the schoolyard chickens each wanted to see someone else get into a fight with the bully? The chickens resembled the nations (descendants of quite a few, not only one or two), as they assemble against Israel.
