T'was a happy day in *techdom* when they came out with actual diagnostic programs for the newer downhole equipment.
Lots easier than trying to chase down missing bits of data using only logic levels with a scope.
It could at least get you in the ballpark of where the problem was.
Then you would get to wheel out your solder/desolder station and X20 binocular microscope and get to fixing :)
