I find it hard to believe that even Democrats could be as incompetent as this roll-out of Obama Care proves them to be. House and Senate Republicans read their plan and repeatedly told the Obama Administration for the last three years it wouldn’t work, and I find it hard to believe none of them bothered to read it and understand it for themselves, so what’s their game?

They’re genuinely surprised, but at what are they surprised? They couldn’t possibly be surprised that the obviously unworkable mechanics of Obama Care and a shoddily thrown together website aren’t working, so what’s going on here?

Could it be that Obama Care was never intended to get this far and was a “Red Herring” all along? As Obama Care was such an obviously unworkable plan, the Democrats knew the Republicans would find a way to prevent it from ever coming to fruition, and the Democrats would be left with the “issue.” Obama could then blame the Republicans for preventing “affordable” medical care for every American citizen and use it to rally his base at election time.

However, as it turned out, they either overestimated the Republican Party, or the Republicans saw this disaster coming and just stepped aside and let the Democrat Party shoot themselves in the foot.

“They’re genuinely surprised, but at what are they surprised?”

While I do believe that OCare was designed to set us on a path to single-payer I think their surprise as at just exactly how fast and devastating the effects of the law have been. I don’t believe any of them truly understood the workings of the insurance market and how much the law would immediately set in motion a high-speed train wreck. I believe they thought this bill would accomplish the destruction of the health insurance but just not this fast and astonishingly so. They thought it would take longer, more gradually, for the water to boil. Turns out, the water was hot to begin with and the application of just such mild heat is causing it to boil over more quickly.

The GOP couldn't stop the passage of the law. Not one voted for it. They knew what would happen. I think the GOP honestly believed SCOTUS would overturn the mandate which was the cornerstone of the act. The SCOTUS ruling on the Medicaid expansion did allow a majority of governors to opt out and that was a bigger blow to the law than Democrats have let on.

I just think that Democrats saw this as a golden opportunity to enact something they have only dreamed about for decades. They rushed it through and thought they would tweak it as time went by-they even said as much.

But then 2010 came along. Rats underestimated the backlash against both the stimulus and Obamacare. They were sent reeling and the liberal agenda was stopped dead in its tracks.

As far as the rollout, the law required them to have the exchanges up and running by Oct. 1. Congress could probably have delayed that, but they were not asked to because people were getting kicked off their plans and public pressure against the law was swelling again.

I think they started to panic and decided they had to go live even if they weren't ready.

They have piled mistake upon mistake for the past years in the quest to fulfill their government takeover of health care.

I honestly think they are astonished that 1) people actually hate this bill and 2) there have so many adverse consequences to millions as a result of the bill.
